Squirt Bottle Game

I want to do some shots with perfume or cologne, but didn't want to fog up with the house with dozens of test shots, so I tested with a squirt bottle. I never even got to the perfume because I had so much fun with the squirt bottle.

I remember playing the squirt bottle game, which was an evolution of the the thimble game. Basically you have a group of people trying to guess what the "it" guy is thinking. Whoever the lucky "winner" is gets sprayed with water until the shooter is tackled.

Or something like that.

I've started into stock photography lately and it's been a real challenge. My friend Bryce gives some good pointers and reccomendations on his blog about getting started with it. It's been a little discouraging at first. Most stock agencies require some type of approval, and the one I was most interested in denied 10 out of 10 of the photos I submitted, so I need to wait 30 days to try it again. Nothing like a good taste of humble pie.

School is starting next week, and I'm pretty anxious to get back. I've got some rad classes. Even greater than the joy of learning is the fact that it is looking like I can graduate in December. Ahhh a journey that started over 7 years ago.... ouch.

Squirt guns are rad

Obviously good times are being had. Sorry about the SS reject. they do that a lot and sometimes it seems to differ by the reviewer. I waited 3 months to get into another good site (IS). Please pick my brains with any questions about the submission process... i feel strange saying that to you - i am fully aware that my skills cannot compare - but micro stock isn't all about skill, or art, or any other really appreciable quality. They love oranges isolated on white backgrounds, and business people on white backgrounds, and occasionally something else with note (many times on white backgrounds). They're finicky. SS especially hates noise of any kind - they like plastic people.

Best of luck. Also, maybe try Alamy - it's less of a sell out from a purists perspective :). I just started there but i hear good things.

Most of all, GET OUT OF REXBURG in December! Congrats man, that's good news. Maybe I'll get a video done for you for your graduation.

rad is rad

I can't tell you how many times I deleted the word 'rad' from my original post, only to decide that it was the only word that fit. I'm glad you see things my way. Yeah, shutterstock was a little annoying, and I am still waiting for istockphoto to give me their decision (it's been over a week). I just uploaded some random images I had laying around that I thought would work. I've been trying to do a little more conceptual type work, but it looks like I'll need to do conceptual type work on a white background. It's pretty cool because Lisa is even encouraging me to get out and shoot more, and usually I'm the one complaining I don't shoot enough.

Yeah, I am stoked to graduate in December but we'll still be here until Lisa finishes her degree. I'm not sure what happens after that? Academy of Art? NESOP? Another studio?

Anyway, check your email
